Rest for God’s People

Hebrews 4:1-11 There is a Spiritual, and an Eternal rest for the people of God. We are admonished to labor to enter that rest. Lest we also die in unbelief. 

Let us therefore Fear

Hebrews 4:1 Looking back at the example of the children of Israel, coming out of Egypt crossing the Red Sea, and yet dying in unbelief. We are addressed to fear , lest we come short of the promise of God. 

Who or what is First?

Matthew 6:24-34 Priorities of what is first in our lives certainly has an effect on our spiritual growth.

Diligence and Discipline.

2 Peter 2:1-5  We have been given great and precious promises that we might be partakes of the Divine nature. For this cause, give diligence and be disciplined that we might add to our faith. 

Return on Investment

Matthew 21:33-C The householder let out the Vineyard to Husbandmen. This was for his advantage or profit. Is it unreasonable for God to expect fruit from all His labor and investment? 

Over Coming the Accuser

Revelation 12:10-11 The blood of the lamb, our foundation, our testimony, and loving the Lord enough to die out to self. This is the prescription to overcome the accuser.

Torments in Hell

Luke:16:19-31 There will be many torments in Hell, just a few thoughts from the scripture. 

Does God mark iniquity?

Psalm 130:3 If the Lord keeps a record, an accurate record, who can stand? The Psalmist seems to imply that there is iniquity, guilt, and sin in his life. But, there is forgiveness with the Lord! 

The Issue of the Dead

Mark 5:22-41 Can Jesus do more than cure the sick, and diseased. He’s the resurrection. By the quickening power of the Holy Spirit and the word of God, fallen, dead, putrefying  man, is brought to eternal life.
