Day of Atonement, New Testament

Selected Scriptures, Jesus Christ fulfilled all the type and shadows we see in Leviticus 16. He had no sin that needed to be atoned for, He entered in, not behind the veil on earth, but into heaven itself, with his own blood, all our sins were laid on him, he was the appointed one, yet did it all voluntarily. Our high priest, offered himself for our sins, and intercedes for us today. 

Day of Atonement, Old Testament

Leviticus 16 There was much work, bloodshed, and fear on the day of atonement. The judgment for sin was pushed out for one year through this ritual. All of it,  only type and shadows of what the Lord Jesus Christ would do for His people in 33 A.D.

Isaiah 66 Regarded, or Disregarded

Isaiah 66:1-4 God considers heartless, mindless worship an abomination. He will not regard it. But, if man is needy, broken in heart and spirit, God will look To that man.

A New covenant, taught of God

Hebrews 8:8-13 Man was found faulty in the first covenant, he had not the ability, nor the desire to keep the law of God. The Lord made a new covenant with man, writing the law in the heart and in the mind. Taught by the Holy Spirit, an inward work of the Godhead. 

Our High Priest

Hebrews 8:1-9 We have a high priest who has entered into heaven, Jesus. He offered His blood on the altar in heaven. He is also the mediator of the new covenant. 

Isaiah 66 Christianity

Isaiah 66:1 The creator of all, isn’t depending on fallen man to build Him a house. Through the work of the Godhead, He built a house in which He would dwell. 

Praying for Boldness

Acts 4:29 The servants of the Lord desired the enabling of God to proclaim his word. Not only did God grant their request,  but added unity, power, and great grace. Be filled with the Spirit. 

Witness to Truth

John 18:37 The birth, life, death, and resurrection of Jesus Christ, bear witness to the truth about man, and of the Godhead. 

Repentance & Refreshing

Acts 3:19 After crucifying the Lord Jesus Christ, this same group of people are offered refreshing, through repentance. 

Seek Ye First

Matthew 6:33-34 Is God And his kingdom, first in priority, time, value, affection? Are we seeking to find, to fellowship, to commune with God the Father, Son and Holy Ghost?
